Search & Rescue Maze:

Our Search and Rescue maze is designed to simulate the critical task of searching for a fire victim or injured partner with limited visibility in an unpredictable area. It allows rescuers to perform proper search techniques through the entire maze passing each obstacle as they are encountered. This maze challenges rescuers at a number of locations as the team must navigate around, over and under obstacles and narrowed spaces. A variety of situations will challenge the rescuer to practice their skills.

Confined Space:

The Confined Space training is constructed of a variety of vertical and horizontal storage tanks. Your team will be able to hone their skills and practice the proper protocols for testing of breathable air quality and safe entry to these confined spaces. This training also allows the rescuer to practice and manage the risks associated with working in a variety of confined spaces and the appropriate safety harnesses and other rescue equipment that may be needed in an emergency.

3 Storey Burn Tower:

Live fire training is essential to the health and safety of your fire fighters, company and your community. Our three storey burn building allows fire responders to experience a wide variety of live fire training in a safe and controlled environment. This most valuable training can be achieved by combining
a number of training exercises such as: laddering, hose advancement, communications, ventilation and victim extrication.

Survival-Unit

Survival Unit:

Our Survival Unit allows your team to practice various self-rescue procedures, rapid intervention team and firefighter rescue techniques. This important training prepares your team with the knowledge and experience to handle potential life-threatening situations and emergencies. It allows the rescuer to deal with dangerous situations such as becoming stuck, trapped or tangled all while in an environment where visibility is zero.

Forcible Entry:

Our facility also offers a Forcible Entry area which is designed to simulate the critical task of forcing inward and outward, left and right swinging doors. Setting the resistance will allow you to simulate the type of door whether it is wooden, steel or an interior door. An area for simulating forcing a variety of padlock styles is also available.

Propane Props:

The EOETA is equipped with two Kidde Advanced Fire Training Systems with Modular Fire Training Props. This system provides hands-on experience in live firefighting with propane-fueled simulators. All fires are controlled by the instructor and can be ignited and extinguished at the touch of a button. The Electric Motor, Propane Cylinder and Burn Tray props will allow you to create endless fire scenarios for training purposes. One fire system is housed in a trailer which is available for rental to train your team off-site for your department’s convenience.

Bullex Fire Extinguisher Training System:

Train your entire team on the proper use of the fire extinguishers using the I.T.S. Xtreme Live-Fire Fire Extinguisher Training System. This technology senses where the trainee aims and sweeps and varies the flames automatically in response. Our facility carries a variety of accessories to simulate Class A, B & C fires. When using any of the optional props, the system detects which prop is being used, and alters the flame’s behavior in response to the extinguisher to create a more realistic experience. We are also equipped with The Bullseye Laser-Driven Fire Extinguisher Training System to conduct important fire safety education training anytime, anywhere. This system also simulates Class A, B & C fires at ten difficulty level. The system can sense if the trainee is using the correct extinguisher, aiming and sweeping correctly, and if they are an effective distance from the base of the fire.

Trench-Rescue

Trench Rescue Pit:

Allows your team to activate a rescue response system, control the site and manage the scene, identify and mitigate hazards, identify causes of collapse and common collapse patterns.

Drafting Pit:

Our facilities 36 000 US gallon Drafting Pit can be used to simulate drafting operations.

Classrooms/Cafeteria:

Our facility offers three air conditioned classrooms with a 40-50 student capacity that can accommodate various sizes of meetings or training. We also have a cafeteria that offers an on-site catering service.
