The Humber College Fire Service Executive Management Certificate program provides a solid foundation for those looking to enter into a leadership position in the fire service, or to further the career of current fire service professionals in mid-level or management positions.
Certificate Criteria – Eighteen (18) Credits Total: Twelve (12) Compulsory Credits + Six (6) Elective Credits (Courses can be taken in any order)

Description:
The Humber Municipal/Provincial/Federal Fire Service course provides an introduction to all of the Federal/Provincial/Municipal legislation governing the Ontario fire service, identifying the potential pitfalls when pertinent legislation is not adhered to as well as discussing opportunities to improve performance. Particular attention will be paid to the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997 and the Municipal Act. A review of applicable recent jurisprudence will be conducted.
This course is part of the Humber College Fire Service Executive Management Certificate program. Participants will receive one (1) credit towards their certificate.
